Several restaurants in the Austin area are helping with flood rescue efforts in Central Texas. This is because of the tragic flooding on July 4 that killed more than 100 people and left dozens more missing. Several Austin businesses in the area are giving some or all of their profits from Friday, July 11, through Monday, July 14, to relief funds that will help towns like Kerr County, which was hit the hardest.

While Curtis Cookie Company gives all the money it makes from its "Hill Country Cookie" to flood aid on Friday, Pinthouse Brewing, Pinthouse Pizza, and Breakside Brews will all give some of their sales to benefit the cause. From 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Paw Paws BBQ will give away all of its income.

One of the events on Saturday is Juiceland, which will give all of its net profits to the Kerr County Relief Fund. During a community event at the Albert Hotel from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Junebugs BBQ will give away all of the money they make. For every pretzel, American lager, or frozen drink sold over the weekend, Central Machine Works will give $1 to the cause. Coffee and a seat: "Gathering for Good" will take place in Austin from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. All ticket sales will go to Texas Search and Rescue. Iron Wolf Ranch & Distillery will give away 20% of all sales made on-site.

All sales from Sunday at Guy + Larry restaurants will go to the Texas Hill Country Relief Fund. These restaurants are Bulevar, ATX Cocina, Red Ash Italia, J. Carver's, Roaring Fork, Salty Sow, The Kimberley, and Waylon J's Barbeque. Some of the money from Juniper's tasting menu will go to World Central Kitchen's flood aid program. From 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., Green Mesquite BBQ will hold a benefit and give all of its profits to the cause.

Pluckers Wing Bar will give 20% of its sales to Texas Search and Rescue on Monday, July 14.

During the week, other businesses are also giving help. Through July 15, Kurty's Cookies will give away 20% of its sales, and Milam & Greene Whiskey will give away 15% of its online and in-person sales. Mernin' Coffee Company is giving away all of its income until July 14. Sour Duck Market will donate money to charitable causes from some of their most popular menu items, like chicken sandwiches and mezcal cocktails, with matched help from Mezcal Amaras. Treaty Oak Distillery is also taking donations for flood aid at its location in Dripping Springs until Sunday.

Many communities are still recovering from the floods, and the number of deaths is still going up. Business owners say they want meals to be a useful form of support.

The goal is to raise several thousand dollars to help pay for rescue, relief, and rebuilding efforts all over the affected area.
