This week, temperatures in Austin will rise again into the upper 80s thanks to sunshine and a strong south breeze. Forecasters say that the weather will be warm and generally dry through Friday.

Daytime highs should reach near 90 degrees every day, but overnight conditions will be milder as low clouds return, keeping temperatures in the mid-60s.

The workweek will see the same morning clouds and afternoon sun. Winds will still be brisk at times, but gusts should not be too intense.

A weak cold front is expected to arrive on Friday night, causing temperatures to dip somewhat over the weekend. Meteorologists say Saturday will be about 10 degrees cooler than Friday, offering "some welcome heat relief."

Even though it will cool down, the weather will still be very pleasant for late March, with no major cold air behind the front.

The chances of rain are likely to be low through the weekend. Currently, Sunday and Monday are expected to be dry. But as April gets closer, the chance of rain increases.

Forecasters say it is too early to say exactly when or how intense the storms will be, but early-spring systems in Central Texas can sometimes produce stronger storms. Meteorologists said, "Any time we get rain in April, we are usually on the lookout for bad weather."

For now, people may expect many days of pleasant, sunny weather. Thereafter, it might cool down for a short time and then get wetter next week.
