Construction is underway on an expanded facility for Liberty Dance Center, with a groundbreaking in late July signaling the beginning of a project that will significantly increase the school's space.

A new metal building spanning 4,980 square feet is under development at 134 Hasler Shores Drive, in collaboration with Dumbeck Custom Homes from Smithville. The center will be moving from its current location at 623 Hwy. 71 W, Ste. 104.

Owner and Director Marisa Bain expressed her enthusiasm about expanding space for both her students and their families. “My favorite part about running Liberty Dance Center is not even necessarily about teaching the different forms of dance,” Bain said. “It’s also about bringing them into a safe space where they can dance, have fun, and learn life skills. We’re helping nourish these kids by teaching them manners, discipline, and grit—all of the things they can take with them in life.” We are committed to supporting these children by instilling in them essential values such as manners, discipline, and resilience—qualities that will serve them well throughout their lives.

Bain highlighted that Liberty Dance Center, named in honor of her daughter, has fostered a tight-knit community. A significant number of families have been associated with the studio for almost ten years.

“A number of these families have been with me since the very beginning, when this was just a small endeavor,” Bain remarked. “Currently, they’ve been with me for seven, eight, or even nine years, and they consistently express how incredible it is to witness our evolution.”

The center provides an extensive selection of classes, featuring ballet, pointe, musical theater, and additional options, catering to dancers from the age of 2 up to adults. Bain announced that a significant celebration is in the works, with the new facility anticipated to launch in 2026.
